An immersive journey, Dom Salvador and Abolition is the untold story of Dom Salvador, an Afro-Brazilian musician who found a home in New York. Departing at the height of Brazil’s military dictatorship in 73’, Salvador left behind an enormous shadow.

An intimate portrait of a collective subject, the documentary casts a light on a society that is trying to break away from its own divide.

The project focus is on the growing number of female talent made possible through new tech accessibility, propelling a new wave in electronic music and solidifying women presence as headlining DJs.
